Take a Break at Selby’s New CJ’s Café Bar

30 March 2009

Top quality produce and traditional afternoon teas will be on the menu at the brand new café bar opening at Selby’s Market Cross Shopping Centre.

And co-owners of the brand new CJ’s Café Bar, Dave Lennon and Cheryl Preston, have promised the establishment will be a chip free zone.

Seating in the newly reburbished café for up to 70 people and with free wi-fi on offer. CJ’s will be a great place to meet and enjoy tasty snacks and lunches including jacket potatoes, salads, soups and delicious ciabatta sandwiches. There will also be home cooked meats as well as a great range of teas and quality coffee, not only to eat in but also offering a take out service.

The café bar will also specialise in afternoon teas and the owners are planning to create a great atmosphere in the busy heart of the town.

Dave & Cheryl, who are both from Hemingborough, said: “We are sourcing all our produce locally and will also be selling home made cakes, there will definately be no chips on our menu, in fact nothing greasy at all -  just good quality food in a great atmosphere with a relaxing coffee lounge upstairs, bistro downstairs with street seating for that continental  feel.

“We are really looking forward to opening up and welcoming customers through the doors.”

Dave & Cheryl are working with neighbouring traders at Market Cross, for local produce of a fantastic range of fresh fruit, vegetables and meats.

One full time and four part time new staff members will be required to work at the new café when it opens from April 1st.
