Cartridge Point sign up for Market Cross

6 June 2006

Cartridge Point, suppliers of Inkjet printers, original and compatible ink cartridges, stationery, media and computer accessories have signed up for a unit in Market Cross Shopping Centre.

The company is owned by parent company QC Supplies, who provide computer consumables for corporate organisations and government bodies.  The Cartridge Point brand serves the growing domestic computer and digital camera / broadband fuelled home printing market and the Selby store is their tenth outlet.

The store fronts onto Selby’s main street, Gowthorpe, and became available last month when the previous tenants went into administration.  Market Cross has two remaining units, and new tenants will be announced shortly.

Kevin Duffy, Head of Retail at Cartridge Point, said: “Our strategy has been to target smaller town centres and it works well for us.  With the opportunities offered by Selby’s growing population, and the proposed redevelopment of the town centre, it is the ideal town to invest in.”

David Hale, Surveyor at Dransfield Properties, said: “I’m pleased to welcome Cartridge Point on to Market Cross and wish them every success.  The speed with which we have re-let this unit shows the continued confidence retailers have in Selby, and I am confident it will not be long before the centre is fully let once again.”
